Spitzkoppe in 3D

Spitzkoppe in 3D

The Spitzkoppe is an island mountain that is located 120 km eastern of Swamkopmund and arises its surrounding about 700 meters. Based on its distinctive shape it is also known as "the Namibian Matterhorn" and is the most photographed mountain in the country. The Spitzkoppe is a national monument of Namibia. The bizarre rock formations are a popular and challenging destination for climbers. Durring summer climbing it is almost impossible, because the rocks heat up too high in the sun.
