Split in 3D

Split in 3D

With 200,000 inhabitants, Split is the second largest city in Croatia, built on a Roman fortress. The square layout of the city is still clearly visible today. Parts of the fortress wall and some ruins from antiquity still shape parts of the cityscape today. An Egyptian sphinx made of diorite, which the Romans have brought, is still at the temple of Jupiter, which is still in good condition. The port of Split was and is one of the most important port cities of Croatia. Here can create the largest cruise ships, car ferries for the surrounding islands, as well as container ships for goods traffic. The generously broad waterfront is very lively especially in the early evening hours.
