Šibenik in 3D

The 900-year-old town of Šibenik, which today has 35,000 inhabitants, is built on a hill at the mouth of the river Krka, on top of which there is a castle. In the old town center you will find numerous churches, monasteries and palaces. One of these historical buildings is the Cathedral of St. Jacob, whose 100-year construction period is proof of the importance of faith for the inhabitants of Sibenik. Many important artists, scientists and writers were represented in Sibenik and made the city an important cultural center. Fortress of St. Michael, also called the fortress of St. Anna, is the oldest fortress of Šibenik from the 11th century. In 2014 it was renovated and equipped with an outdoor stage. From there you have a generous view of the island world of Croatia.
