With just under 80,000 inhabitants, Pula is the largest and oldest city in Istria. The first period of prosperity Pula learned already in ancient times, which witness numerous ruins in the city center. The ancient triumphal arch from Roman times is considered the landmark of the city. From there begins the ring-shaped pedestrian zone where many cafes, shops and historical monuments can be found. In the center of the old town is a citadel, where you have a good view of the whole area. Pula has the greatest popularity through the old amphitheater. It is the second largest of its kind, built by the Romans, which is still used today for concerts and events. Today Pula, with its varied history, is also the tourist and cultural center of the region, which also attracts visitors from all over the world with its beautiful beaches every year.
