Krk Island in 3D

Krk in 3D

The island of Krk with an area of 406km2 is the largest island of Croatia. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The eponymous city is the largest on the island, which has a castle and a historic old town. On the waterfront there are many swimming opportunities, restaurants and offers water sports. There are 68 small villages on Krk, making it one of the most populated islands in Croatia. The landscape is criss-crossed with high mountains, which can be discovered on the many mountain passes.

Vrbnik is situated on the east coast of the island of Krk and was built by the inhabitants on a 50 m high cliff above the sea. This makes the old town particularly fascinating, as every house, every alley and every passage has been adapted to the rock and gives the place a unique flair.

Baska with its 2 km long fine gravel beach is one of the most popular beach resorts in Croatia. Around this beach are settled many cottage settlements and hotels surrounded by vineyards and olive gardens.
